6:30-7:30 p.m. at Old Quebec Street Mall
55 Wyndham St N, Guelph, ON

Guelph Singer Songwriter Don Sawchuk continues to play it forward at the entrance to the Sleeman Centre in Old Quebec Street Mall and will be joined by musical friends with the incredible vocalist Mati Haskell and the exceptional guitarist JK Gulley on December 13th for a pre-game presentation “busker Style” of their newly released collection of original Songs for A Trilogy Christmas from Trilogy Records International at the Guelph Storm’s Home Game where the Storm will attempt to ground my home town Windsor Spitfires. Puck drops 7:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted, merchandise will be available, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Guelph Drop In Centre.

It was only last year that Don’s team took a page out of Don’s play book to use his busking talents which supported his University Education and family, while he pursued his degree at Lakehead University, to help the less fortunate by busking. Don’s cause – “The Guelph Drop In Centre”. Executive Director Gail Hoekstra embraced the initiative and Don has used his music to present his message of hope to an important and somewhat overlooked sector of the community that the Drop In Centre supports. The Guelph Storm recognized Don’s initiative and invited him on a number of occasions to perform at the arena and busk for the cause. On Friday, December 13th, Don and company will be joined by Executive Director of The Drop In Centre Gail Hoekstra and others for a center ice cheque presentation during the 1st intermission where the busking donations received during last year’s run to the Memorial Cup will be made to the Drop In Centre thanks to the great support of the Guelph Storm hockey organization and all the wonderful fans.

Congratulations go out to Don Sawchuk, The Guelph Storm and company – ’tis the season for giving!
